Today I realised I have quite a few newer paintings that I never showed you, so it´s about time to make a little show, here are 3 for a start:
“Dance with me”, mixed media on canvas, 20 x 20 cm
I love the idea that dance can happen anywhere. I used to fantasize about dancing in the local supermarket on a wednesday afternoon. Just out of the blue and really giving it my best, then buying milk and going home. Did not dare to do that yet, but my brain has done it brilliantly over and over. And I do tend to loose myself and do dancing steps in the street now and then. And really, why don´t we humans dance more, and in all kind of places? Why is it that dancing in a supermarket is considered weird unless you are 3 years old and has just spotted your favourite candy? Maybe I have a secret wish of being born in a musical, yes, that must be it!
Free spirit”, acrylic on canvas, 50 x 60 cm
I called this piece finished a year ago, but it kept whispering to me that it was not yet done. Now it is, and I am really happy I listened and worked on with it so that this free spirit could shine brightly as it was meant to. Now it´s ready to fly…and maybe land on someone else´s wall, spreading the message of the freedom we all came with.
“Life flowing over”, acrylic on canvas, 75 x 75 cm
This one is big, with gold-effects added, and for me, it´s about pure joy of being in the middle of life, feeling the richness and abundance of it all.
